3 Year Olds
Independence and self-mastery remain central to all outcomes of the Growing Einsteins program, while teamwork and awareness of others are brought into play. Growing Einsteins participate in activities that foster concentration, coordination, an understanding of order, and perception. Children of this age group are exposed to a variety of new material yet continually encouraged to develop at their own pace. Some of the skills practiced in the Growing Einsteins program include:
• Saying their name and age
• Speaking in sentences of 5-6 words
• Remembering parts of a story
• Understanding basic concepts of time (like now, later, before, morning and night)
• Kicking, throwing and catching
• Dressing and undressing themselves
• Understanding the concept of possession (what is mine, yours and ours) and sharing
